WEEKLY REVIEW
Brandon- Riley asked for power rankings and with power rankings come hot takes. Despite losing the head to head matchup this week, the stats simply speak for themselves. Brandon is averaging 4 more points per game than Trevor, had more scored against him, and has yet to shit the bed like Trevor’s 76.7 point showing. Brandon in feeding off of Kareem Hunt’s success, which would be hard to sustain, but then again David Johnson might as well have kept Kendall’s trophy, so why not Brandon?
Trevor- I can hear the whining now. Yes, Trevor, your team is very good, but no, they are not the best. You showed up this week and had a huge win against Brandon, but beating Bryce with 76.7 points would have been a loss any other week. Your team is by far the most stacked and you could pretty much leave the same lineup every week and make playoffs, but ask yourself, as Trevor, “how am I going to screw this up?”
Kyle- I lied about your team being bad if that makes you feel any better. All around solid lineup, led by a consistent RB stable. If you can figure out which WR are the best to start each week, you could easily contend with the top two guys. Kyle should best Riley in this weeks in house matchup, improving him to a formidable 3-1.
Jack- My team is equally consistent as Kyle’s, just consistently worse. I am still waiting for my breakout week, so far I cannot get my RBs and other positions to score points on the same week. Because of the balance provided by my two RBs and Antonio, I see a relatively high floor week to week, but as always if I cannot score 100 it will be hard to win a lot. Tough matchup against Brandon this week will be a good indicator of whether or not I belong in the high seed conversation.
Kendall- With a solid showing this week, Kendall improved his PPG and earned the W. While Kendall’s team is not as dominant as in years past, he is in the middle of the pack through week three with plenty of time to catch up. If the Minnesota offense continues to explode he might just be in luck.
Alex- Yes, Alex has a better record than Kendall, but he has scored less points, been scored against 20 points less than Kendall each week, and has yet to crack 100. I like a lot of the players on Alex’s roster with a nice balance of consistency and high ceiling scorers. Getting Tyler Eifert back will round out his starting lineup nicely. I see Alex making playoffs this year, but the future is in his hands.
Riley- Objective analysis only, you are 1-2 and 7th in scoring. Fun fact your only win came from your lowest scoring game. While still leagues above Julian and Bryces’ teams, I do not see a lot of potential in your roster. I hope you prove me wrong but this is a team I see dancing in and out of the playoff picture all year. I was a fan of the Gronk trade by the way.
Josh- Superbowl slump or karma, this season has not been what you wanted it to be. While I understand you probably are not concerned, considering the trophy sitting in your room, it has been a slow start. Everyone can see that you have the pieces to be successful, but if they don’t score points you can’t win. I expect a turn around soon and somewhere around .500 after week 13.
Bryce- I think it went wrong from the draft, but whatever you have been doing it’s working. I will also say I had a sigh of relief when you changed your name. I do not see this lineup winning a lot of games, but it did this week so who knows you know.
Julian- “We just drunk” summed it up pretty well. Another lineup that is missing some pieces, but is capable of scoring some points week to week. I doubt you will end up with the worst record just because I have learned not to doubt you, but 0-3 is not a good start for playoffs, I have been there.
