WEEKLY REVIEW
Following a contentious week of competition, the League has yet to disperse and the playoff picture remains cloudy. At least three of the teams that will be in currently sit at 2-3 or worse (still in it baby), and Alex’s week five loss implies that only Josh and Kyle are locked so far. The week six slate should help to clarify some things, with four 2-3 teams facing off, the top two teams with relatively easy wins, and 3-2 Alex facing a hot handed Kendall squad. Additionally, a spike in trading this week leads to a plethora of new lineups and open ended possibilities. I am very excited for a great weekend of football and to see the standings after Monday night.
Tier 1- Week five’s Power Rankings include the same three teams in the top tier with a slight shake up. With Josh scoring the week five high of 176 points and defeating previous #2 Alex, he more than earned the right to recuperate the top spot at 5-0. Intentionally or not, he successfully took my advice and kept points in his starting lineup, while still having some bombs go off on the bench. Kyle’s narrow victory over Brandon improved his record to 4-1, giving him a slight advantage over Alex as he remains first in scoring. Although Alex fell to Thanos in week five, his performance was solid, and he is still a step above the tier two squads.
Tier 2- After another poor performance from Trevor, Kendall took advantage and launched himself into the fifth spot in this week’s rankings, joining Brandon and Bryce in the second tier. After what seemed like an unsustainable start, McCaffrey continues to excel and Bryce’s team earned their second win this week, moving to fourth in scoring and jumping Brandon in the rankings. With Run CMC and Allen Robinson combining for 76.4 points, Bryce is continuing to live by the boom or bust model until further notice. Behind Amari Coopers 39.6 points, Kendall put up the second highest score this week with 151.8, drastically improving his PPG and jumping Brandon. Despite an impressive 145.1 point showing, Brandon fell valiantly to Kyle in week five. Although he sits at 2-3, I still consider Beefy to be considerably more competitive than the tier three teams.
Tier 3- Of the four teams in the third tier, only Mason pulled off the W this week doing something I do not want to talk about. Aside from that, Julian put up a respectable 120.7 fueled by a balanced attack from his QB and RBs. At 114 PPG, Julian leads tier three in scoring but has a gap to close if he wants to level up. Another white boy took me down as Adam Thielen’s 32 points led mason to a win and improved his record to 2-3. Despite the win, he did not score enough to move out of 9th in PPG. Trevor returns as team suck, putting up a mere 81.9 and dropping his average yet again. As the only 1-4 team, I felt a responsibility to rank myself last, but hopefully I can outscore Trevor again and change that.
THIS WEEK’S CAKED TAKES
Bringing you three unlikely hot takes from someone stoned to the bone.

Trevor’s recent trades help him turn it around, scoring 130+ and defeating Kyle in week six.

Maybe more likely than not, but McCaffrey explodes again and Bryce is thrust into the conversation of serious contenders.
