WEEKLY REVIEW

Josh- Although Josh’s team took a shit and sat in it this week, this is only his first mishap of the season and sets him back to a league leading 4-1. 68 is his new lowest score in a week, which is still higher than most teams worst. He continues to average the most points per week, although now closely followed by Brandon and Kendall. Josh retains the top spot but another slip-up will see him come tumbling down.

Kendall- This man’s team does not miss. After scoring a season high 102, Kendall moves into third in scoring. Not to mention his lowest week all year is still 86 points. Consistency is key in the game and the Johnsons have not wavered all season. Don’t let the 3-2 fool you, Kendall could very easily be the top team in the league.

Julian- Upon the return of Leveon Bell to the league, Julian’s team has been hot, scoring 105 and 119 in two wins the past two weeks. Although he had a slow start, Julian is currently the highest scoring team in the league and with his roster I don’t expect that to change too much. Between Bell and Murray things look pretty solid. Looking for a lot more triple digit games and a lot more W’s.

* Before I share my analysis on Brandon’s team, I think that it is important to note that the teams ranked 4-8 are all relatively even and choosing a place for all of them was extremely difficult. I chose to consider current trends and predictions for individual teams going forward as the tie breaker for many of these placements.

Brandon- Believe it or not, Brandon’s 2-3 team is actually second in scoring with a good chance to jump to first next week. While his record is not as impressive as it could be, he has put up solid numbers throughout the season and has a relatively deep lineup that should save him from the bye week blues. Brandon is capable of putting up the points, it’s just a question of how much the other team will score that week.

Kyle- Other than Julian, the hottest team in the league belongs to none other than Kyle Baker. Kyle has won three straight games, scoring at least 90 points in every one. His receiving core is unreal and the Vikings defense has been a very nice addition thus far. Kyle has gone from bubble team to contender very quickly and considering his trend he’s looking at a possible top three finish next week if he can take down current number one Josh.

Trevor- He actually beat Josh, wow. Despite that miracle, Trevor’s team is actually good. His 2-3 record doesn’t show that in two of those losses he scored 95 and 103 points. It seemed as if losing Peterson would be his downfall but since then the Below Average Joes have thrived and are looking better every week. A near guaranteed win versus Riley this week will put Trevor at 3-3 after this week with a chance to finish in the top 5 if he can put up some points.

Bryce- After dropping two games in a row, Bryce is now second to last in scoring, only above Riley who doesn’t even set a lineup. Whatever luck Bryce had with winning games without scoring points has run out and I hate to say I told you so but I told you so. He’s still 3-2, a respectable record, but after scoring 67 in week 4 and 68 in week 5 things are not looking up. Should be a good matchup against my spotty team this week with an opportunity to either regain control of the playoff picture of fall out of the bracket.

Alex- Similar to Bryce’s team in many ways, Alex’s team only put up 52 points this week and fell to 3-2 after a good start. It worries me to rank anyone high after a 52 point showing but Alex has the roster talent to prove me wrong and score big this week. Also along with Bryce, this week will either solidify or endanger Alex’s place in the current playoff picture.

Jack- After being stuck somewhere between mediocre and bad for most of the season, I finally scored 92 points and got a W in week 5. After some roster changes and a bad rape scene, the Freaky Fronks have a new look but who knows where it will take them. I hope I win this week because I sure do talk a lot of shit about Bryce.
