WEEKLY REVIEW
Josh- After stumbling last week, Josh picked his game back up and dropped 113 in week six. Josh still has the best record at 5-1 and is on pace to set the best regular season record in the history of the league. His scoring has somewhat slowed as the season progresses, however, he continues to win games. In a few weeks, Josh could be eyeing a clinched playoff spot.
Brandon- THAT BEEFY BOY IS ROLLIN’! Brandon is only one point shy of tying Josh for total points scored this season. Brandon has not scored below 80 since week two, including two 115+ games in that span. As I have said before, Brandon’s team can score points, and after some unfortunate games against high scoring opponents, his record his starting to show it. This is a team very capable of knocking off Josh in the playoffs, or even winning the title.
Kendall- Kendall tied his lowest point value of the season this week, 86 points. After picking up a nice win against Julian, Kendall continues to cruise his way through the regular season scoring 90-100 points a game. Despite his consistency and impressive record, if Kendall wants to reach the next level his team needs to break the ceiling and put up 110+ every once in a while. Still a very good team, but without higher scoring he is susceptible to defeat at the hands of Brandon and Josh.
Julian- Scoring 77 in week six, Julian dipped slightly below his average and unfortunately choked on the Johnson. Looking at his projected lineup for week seven, it appears that changes have been made, including a pickup of Marcus Mariota off the wire. Julian has the best running back tandem in the league, if he can find the right pieces to put around them he could be in business.
Bryce- After weeks of continuous mediocrity, Bryce posted a somewhat impressive 102 in week six to beat yours truly. A solid win, but considering most of his scoring came from O’Dell Bechkham’s 32 points, the likelihood of him doing it again in week seven is questionable. As much shit as I like to give Bryce, he is still 4-2 and looking like a likely playoff candidate.
Alex- After a hot start, Alex has been on a downward spiral recently and has not stopped. 65 points in week six and his third loss in four weeks is not a good trend. Alex is lucky Kyle’s team died this week or he would have dropped even more. With the Cowboys on bye it looks like another rough week for ahead. However, with the return of Dez Bryant and perhaps the flourishing of rookie Dak Prescott Alex could get back to his old ways and start winning some games. Chris is still 3-3 and if he can get his shit together he could be a playoff contender.
Kyle- After showing flashes of greatness, Kyle decided to score 49 points week six and fall to 3-3. With a team of high ceiling guys, sometimes they can all just fall flat. The good news is this week was an isolated incident and is not very likely to reoccur going forward. I expect Kyle to keep winning games.
Jack- Scoring over 90 two weeks in a row, it possible that my team is hitting its stride. After dropping the panthers defense and switching QBs, things are looking up. However, a loss this week against Julian could all but eliminate me from playoff contention. Chance the Motherfucking Rapper was lit tho.
Trevor- With stats almost identical to my own, Trevor is more or less tied with me in power rankings. I gave myself the edge on the idea that I was on an upward trend while Trevor faulted in week six. With Elliot on bye this week against a tough Kendall team, Trevor needs to be praying that somebody shows up to play. With how close the league is this season starting 2-4 is by no means precluding, however, I would like to see the number of 2-5 teams to make playoffs because I doubt it is high.
Riley- Because he set a lineup this week, Riley has earned the right to an analysis, however he has not earned the right to leave the 10 spot just yet. Carried by Newton, Stewart, and Gronkowski, Riley put up 91 this week in his win over Trevor. Seeing this consistently will move him up in the rankings however at 1-5 it would take some serious dominance to make the playoffs. I look forward to seeing just how well he can turn it around.
