WEEKLY REVIEW

Trevor- After breaking the streak, Trevor bounced back this week with a dub over SWOSU peer Kendall. Led by the usual Todd, Trevor put up a less than average 87.3 as A.J. Green faltered with 4 points and the Kansas City defense subtracted 5. Going forward Trevor has a lineup rivaled only by Kyle’s. He should cruise against me this week and move onto an incredible 7-1, locking down a spot in playoffs.

Kyle- After dropping a shootout to Brandon in week 7, Kyle moved to 4-3 with the rest of the five-man pack. Despite the loss, Kyle gets the edge this week because if Leonard Fournette plays he would have beaten a full-strength Brandon team by at least 10. With what I think is the best roster (and it’s not close), Kyle is set to clean up for the rest of this season and only playoffs will stand in his way.

Brandon- One door closes and another one opens. Brandon may have made the move of the year obtaining a peaking Carson Wentz after Aaron’s unfortunate demise. 31 points from the QB and an average performance from everyone else was enough to best an ailing Kyle team. Although he has been surpassed in both scoring and roster talent, Brandon still sits atop the main pack and his playoff hopes should pan out.

Bryce- Led by Dak and Jarvis, Bryce beat his buddy Alex to move onto 4-3 with everyone else in the world. Riding the longest winning streak in the League, Bryce’s team is on a hot streak he hopes to take into week 8 against Kyle. With Fournette on bye, Bryce could sneak one past Kyle and assert himself into the playoff picture, but some changes might need to be made if he wants to make a deep run.

Josh- Scoring a season high 106.4, Josh’s Big 3 decimated Riley in week 7, despite leaving a 15-point Doug Baldwin on the bench. With Lesean, Leveon, and a slew of middle tier receivers, Josh’s roster is above average, but dependent upon a few players. Consistency at the RB and QB positions will be key going forward, and with 6 more weeks left a few slip ups could land Josh in the consolation bracket.

Alex- After a loss to Bryce in week 7, Alex is also 4-3. Alex is sixth in scoring, which for him is almost entirely dependent upon Zeke doing his thing. Uncertainty surrounding Zeke’s suspension looms over his fantasy potential, but considering he put up 40 points he should be in good shape if Jerry Jones keeps paying people off. He should beat Julian this week but I thought the same thing so…?

Riley- Riley is going to be mad I put him here, but the stats just are not there. After losing to Josh, Riley is also 4-3, 7th in scoring, and facing a revamped Beefy squad in week 8. While he has not been a powerhouse this year, Riley has found ways to grind out W’s and so far he has been in good shape. If he can continue to stumble upon wins he will get a spot, but this is not a roster I personally see competing with the top tier.

Kendall- Currently the best of the worst, Kendall fell to Trevor in week 7 after a subpar performance from just about everyone in his lineup. Amari Cooper shocked everyone with a 33-point outing from his bench and maybe he can contribute in the starting lineup this week. Ingram and Brady show consistency and McKinnon/Murray flash potential, but otherwise his roster just is not very deep. An incredible defensive performance from the Ravens on Thursday will keep things interesting between him and Josh, but I expect Lesean and Leveon to run away with it.

Julian- Another win in week 7 keeps hopes alive for Julian going forward. With such a tightly grouped five-man pack, none of the 2-5 teams have been mathematically eliminated yet, but they will need to show dominance from here on out. With both Derek Carr and Tyreke Hill good to go in week 8, plus a good team name, Julian has a shot against a recently underperforming Alex team. Moving to 3-5 would certainly shake things up, which I think exactly what he wants to do.

Jack- I’ll write my piece later, I have drugs to do.
