WEEKLY REVIEW

Josh- After dismantling my team in week twelve, Josh has improved to a record 11-1 and extended his winning streak to nine games. As everyone knows, this level of success is unprecedented, and Josh continues to break new ground. Building his roster through trades and making some quick pickups has put him in sole possession of first place and the guaranteed first seed in playoffs. With an underwhelming matchup against Bryce in week thirteen, Josh should finish 12-1, a record unlikely to be broken.

Trevor- Riding a three-game win streak, Trevor’s team has been hot, moving him up to number two in this week’s Power Rankings. Averaging 125.8 PPG over the last three weeks, Trevor has thrived on big performances from Todd, Juju, and David Johnson to secure his spot in the playoffs. While his recent explosion has been impressive, I feel as if his team could just as easily slip back into mediocrity. Regardless, a star-studded roster makes for a fearsome matchup in the postseason.

Jack- Fingers crossed.

Kyle- The last two weeks have been very telling of Kyle’s season, scoring 83.6 points in a losing effort followed by 138 to defeat Riley in week twelve. The resurgence of Leonard Fournette and the continued success of Nick Chubb have boosted his lineup and turned him into a contender. His roster has shown the ability to score big points, but I am still not confident in their chances of scoring 100+ week in and week out. With a week thirteen matchup against Alex, Kyle has the opportunity to secure the three-seed and avoid Josh in the second round.

Brandon- It seems that after weeks of close calls and suffering, the talent on Brandon’s roster has prevailed as he finds himself in a “win and get in” game against Kendall this week. With some impressive performances recently, Brandon has moved into third in scoring at 119.5 PPG. With a solid roster and continued diligence on the part of Brandon, it seems that his success depends more on the matchup than anything. Unfortunately for him, Kendall has shown great improvement throughout the season and will be tough to beat.

Riley- At 6-6 with his playoff spot secured, Riley has landed in the middle of the pack after picking up wins where he can this season. At 7th in scoring with 107.2 PPG, Riley’s team has not proven to be the most dangerous in The League, but consistent output has caught more than one team slipping. Outside of Mixon, Brees, and Kelce, his lineup has lacked players that can log double digit performances every week, worsened by the result of Leveon Bell’s holdout. I am not sure where tiebreakers lie but winning this week could catapult Riley to the three-seed, while losing could put him at six. Good luck.

Kendall- With a 156-point annihilation of Alex, Kendall bounced back from a 64.6-point outing in week eleven to improve to 5-7. Despite his record, I think Kendall is one of the more underrated teams in The League, you know, because he beat me twice. Regardless, Kendall’s erratic scoring can be dangerous, but it can also land you an easy win given the week. I am curious to see which side shows up in this week’s do or die against Brandon.

Alex, Julian, and Bryce- You all played well this season. I am sorry I have to focus on the playoff teams, I want to write about everyone, but I am running on a time crunch. Thank you for your sportsmanship and continued participation in The League.
